Memory Exam is a breakthrough from Intraneuron
Memory Exam is a verbal speech recognition test that catches signs of cognitive change at the earliest. The exam is engineered after gold-standard memory assessments used in clincs for decades, now powered by patented technology.
What makes Memory Exam different?
- Take it from anywhere. No appointments, waiting rooms or referrals.
- Speech-based and self-guided. Just speak; you will be guided step by step.
- Scientifically validated. Trusted as a standard of excellence.
- Fast results. Receive results within hours, not days.
- Patented technology. Covered by United States patents 11,547,345 and 12,226,221.
Why is verbal testing better?
Verbal memory is one of the first things to change in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease, so it's the correct thing to measure early.
The exam focuses on free recall, which has only two ways of being collected: with a clinician sitting beside you with a scoresheet or with speech recognition. This exam takes the second route with its patented technology, which means, for the first time, it can be taken at home.
How is this different from testing at a doctor's office?
Clinician-administered memory tests can take weeks or months to schedule. Memory Exam is an accessible alternative. It is available 24/7, saving you time on appointments, travel and waiting rooms.
Who should take this test?
A memory test can be useful for more than concerns about dementia. Changes in memory has a variety of causes, including many that are treatable.
Memory Exam is a good option for:
- Anyone with a family history of Alzheimer’s or dementia
- Caregivers monitoring a loved one’s memory
- Anyone noticing forgetfulness or wanting peace of mind
- Proactive individuals focused on prevention
- Anyone whose sleep has been broken or unrefreshing for a while, including people who snore heavily or stop breathing at night
- Anyone who suspects a medication is affecting their thinking, including common sleep aids and allergy medicines bought without a prescription
- Anyone being treated for something that can affect memory, such as a thyroid problem, low vitamin B12 or depression. Our page on reversible causes outlines what to ask your doctor.
- Anyone managing blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar, where the effect on thinking builds quietly over years
- Anyone with hearing loss, which is routinely mistaken for a memory problem
- Anyone recovering from an illness, an operation or a hospital stay, who wants to know where their thinking has settled
